Hello everyone, today I will be talking about the dreadful time of the month. Unfortunately us ladies have to deal with this every month so today I want to provide you all with some tips for relief! Lets begin.

Applying heat always seems to work for me and may possibly work for you as well! You can purchase a heating pad (which I have and works wonders) but if you're on the go and have cramps you can always buy heat wraps. This can also work if you're having back pain as well. The heat helps by providing relief from your tense muscles. Circulation increases which causes relief. In some cases, this doesn't work for people. I have two friends who prefer to feel cold rather than warm, you can apply a cold bottle if it makes you feel better. While on my period I avoid anything cold because it gives me awful cramps. If this is the case for you, you can even take a nice warm bath or apply a warm towel and just relax. You can also drink some delicious warm tea (ginger, chamomile), the warmth will give you wonderful relief.

Exercise definitely helps! If you feel uncomfortable with doing exercise then you can simply take a nice walk. You can do some easy yoga to help you feel relaxed and give you some relief while having cramps. Recently I found a yoga video to help on youtube which you can view here, it was very relaxing. Clear your mind and start relaxing, it's exactly what your body needs!

Eating healthy is always important. Maintaining a healthy diet will help with those cramps! Try avoiding junk food or caffeine while on your period to avoid getting cramps and avoid to much salt if you're feeling bloated. Try eating fruits and vegis! Eat bananas and even pineapples. Drink tons of water. Always be aware that eating poorly which simply worsen these symptoms you're feeling. Believe it or not, dark chocolate is a do! If you're having cravings or need a happier mood, go for the chocolate!

Some other tips:
☆ Distract yourself
☆ Try to avoid pills
☆ Try to avoid tampons (this can cause cramps as well)
☆ Talk to your doctor (if your cramps are getting in the way of your daily life)
☆ Elevate your legs

One thing I want to make sure to point out is that every woman is different! So what may work for me may not work for you. I'm sharing these tips with you because they have worked on me and hopefully possibly may work for you too! I hope you all have a lovely day and try these tips out next time you're on your period. I seriously hope you find relief because cramps are AWFUL. Thanks for reading and if you have other tips please make sure to comment down below!
